HockeyTech and the British Columbia Hockey League Announce Multi-Year Technology Partnership Extension

HockeyTech will continue its long time partnership of providing all digital & streaming services to the BCHLincluding broadcasting of all games on HockeyTV 

Waterloo, Ontario, Canada & BurnabyBritish Columbia (August 6, 2020) – HockeyTech and the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) announce an exclusive technology partnership extension. HockeyTech has been the long-term provider of all BCHL digital services. 

“We are honored to have the BCHL extent their technology partnership with us, said HockeyTech CEO Stu Siegel. “Their fans and staff will continue to enjoy HockeyTech’s integrated services which keep the BCHL’s digital presence to state-of-the-art standards for years to come.” 

HockeyTech has partnered with the BCHL for many years to provide the league with digital tools to improve analytics, coaching and fan engagement through HockeyTech’s core services RinkNet scouting, LeagueStat scorekeeping, web services and mobile apps. In addition, all 450+ BCHL games will continue to be streamed live and on demand on HockeyTV, a service of HockeyTech

The BCHL has announced a tentative start date of December 1 for the 2020-2021 season to be broadcast on HockeyTV.

About the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) 
The British Columbia Hockey League is a 18-team Junior A league with 16 franchises in B.C. and one in Washington State. It is one of 10 leagues in the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). Established in 1961-62, the league is in its 54th season and enjoys a reputation as one of the finest development leagues in North America. Over the last five years, the BCHL has averaged 122 players per season committed to college hockey programs in Canada and the United States. This season, 38 league alums have played in the NHL and more than 300 former BCHL players will suit up for college hockey. Prominent league alumni include Brett Hull, Ken Holland, Duncan Keith, Paul Kariya, Brendan Morrison, Dave Nonis, Brad Treliving, Ryan Johansen, Bob Nicholson, Jamie Benn, Andrew Hammond and Kyle Turris.
