November 29, 2013 [Guelph, Ontario] – HockeyTech and HockeyNow have created a unique media content alliance to share cutting edge information on amateur junior hockey players. Below are certain aspects of this new alliance:

  • HockeyNow will publish HockeyTech’s monthly ISS Top 30. HockeyTech division ISS Hockey releases monthly rankings of the top 30 players eligible for the upcoming NHL Draft. HockeyNow will publish these rankings surrounded by media content, including stories about the “risers and fallers” within these rankings.
  • HockeyTech will make its new Media Player Information System available to HockeyNow. HockeyNow will now have direct access to HockeyTech’s data repository of intelligence on hockey players, teams, leagues and other hockey related organizations.
  • ISS Hockey Director of Scouting Dennis MacInnis will serve on the selection committee for the “HockeyNow Player of the Year Award” for the provinces served by HockeyNow – Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.

“We are always looking for unique alliances to get our information out to consumers, and HockeyNow has demonstrated its true leadership in the publication of hockey news to amateur players and families”, says HockeyTech CEO Stu Siegel. “By giving HockeyNow access to our Media Player Information System, we look forward to seeing the amazing stories that will be created using our data.”

“We’ve been working with ISS Hockey for several years now, and the newly merged HockeyTech truly offers a much expanded range of information for our editorial staff to create stories for our readers”, says HockeyNow publisher Larry Feist. “We look forward to digging into HockeyTech’s vast repository of hockey player information, as well as covering their upcoming ISS Combines throughout North America.”
