Expansion Las Vegas franchise enters into long-term agreement to utilize RinkNet, HockeyTech’s elite scouting and player management system
WATERLOO, ON (October 18, 2016) — HockeyTech, the worldwide leader in hockey related technologies, analytics and information services, announced today that the NHL’s newest franchise, the Las Vegas-based expansion team, is joining the 30 other NHL organizations using the RinkNet Scouting and Player Information platform. Utilized by every NHL team, RinkNet is widely recognized for its deep and rich data on hockey players, at all levels. Las Vegas will begin play during the 2017-2018 season, and will initially stock its roster through an expansion draft next June.
“Las Vegas is ready for NHL hockey. As an expansion team, we have a great deal of work ahead of us as we build out our scouting operations and prepare to field our first team,” said Las Vegas General Manager George McPhee.
Las Vegas will utilize HockeyTech’s best-in-industry software and data services to facilitate scouting and player management within their organization. RinkNet provides hockey teams, leagues and related organizations with access to daily updated rosters, schedules and player information for virtually all leagues worldwide. Teams use HockeyTech technology to manage their proprietary player evaluations from their scouting and coaching staffs.
